On the evening of August 7th, 1979, at least 3 tornadoes touched down near Woodstock, ON. At that time, Kelsea of Flocks and Herds - Grandfather was the coordinator of the Mennonite Disaster Service. Her Grandfather helped to organize the rebuilding of many of the barns and properties that had been devestated by the tornadoes. During the clean up, he salvaged many fallen and uprooted trees. These solid black walnut pieces come from one of those salvaged trees. Each piece is one of a kind and a piece of history for you to cherish!
